President

Juan J. Martinez

Juan Martinez joined Martinez and Company in 1998, advancing through administrative roles to become President in 2011. With expertise in seaport security, particularly in Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Manatee ports, Martinez holds various certifications and serves as a licensed security instructor. He has excelled in diverse responsibilities including supervision, finance, marketing, and human resources. Additionally, Martinez is actively involved in industry organizations, serving on the Board of Directors for PTMIA and the Propeller Club – Port of Tampa. He also contributes to the US Coast Guard Reserves, focusing on ports, waterways, coastal security, search and rescue, marine safety, and law enforcement. Martinez's academic background includes a Bachelor of Business Administration, cum laude, from Florida International University, with a dual major in International Business and Finance, reflecting his commitment to excellence and community protection.

VP Business Development & Strategy

Chris A. Chambers, CPP®

Chris brings over two decades of comprehensive experience in military, law enforcement, and security across local, federal, and corporate sectors, with a focus on maritime security, including active and reserve duty in the U.S. Coast Guard (retired BMC). His roles encompass a wide range of operations such as counter-narcotics, illegal immigration, Presidential Security Details, and Port, Waterways, & Coastal Security (PWCS) missions. Chris holds prestigious certifications including the Certified Protection Professional (CPP) designation, Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) designation, and Certified Port Executive status. He actively contributes to industry committees like the Tampa Bay Harbor Safety and Security Committee and serves as the Chair of the Facility Security Officer (FSO) sub-committee within the Area Maritime Security Committee (AMSC). Additionally, served as past Chair of the Propeller Club at the Port of Tampa.

VP Operations & Government Relations

Bryan Scott King, MPA

Bryan, a Tampa Bay native, began his career in the U.S. Coast Guard after high school, where he quickly rose through leadership positions. He completed studies at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) and advanced to roles overseeing law enforcement training and operations. During this time, he earned a B A in Homeland Security while managing Operation Neptune Shield for Sector Jacksonville. Receiving recognition with the Army Achievement Medal. Returning to Tampa Bay in 2013, Bryan served as the Safety and Training Officer for the City of St. Petersburg’s Public Utility, implementing effective training programs that significantly reduced accidents and claims. Continuing his education, he obtained a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of South Florida in 2016. Currently, Bryan remains active as a commissioned officer in the Coast Guard Reserves, leading teams and engaging in community service through various non-profit organizations, showcasing his commitment to both his country and local community.
